Vacancy of Project Assistant in FSDS

BACKGROUND

Public Foundation “Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions” (FSDS) is an organization with a mission to:

(i) contribute to fair and sustainable rural development;

(ii) contribute to conducive social and economic environment for fair and sustainable development of

the poor;

(iii) create working places through bringing innovation, financial and intellectual capital;

(iv) contribute to inclusive and equal distribution of the resources, equal and inclusive access to the

rights and social services.

We are working with communities in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the issues of disability, migration, social entrepreneurship and rural development.

FSDS is seeking a Project Assistant, who will be based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of this position is to provide project-specific support to the project which will start in January 2016 in Tajikistan (Soghd region) with two local partner organizations. The project focus is on children and people with disabilities and introducing Community-Based Rehabilitation with a complex multi-stakeholder cooperation process.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Project assistant is selected to the position from January 2016 on to provide support to project activities during implementation to ensure the activities are achieved on time and as planned:

Provide support to partner organizations/ sub-grantees

Provide support to partners upon requests and within the competence and project manager approval;

Maintain communication and regular update

Project support on all aspects of the activities

Regular provide information during the project implementation process after project manager/executive director approval articles, materials, photo and stories to be issued;

Keep updates about project visibility and communication strategies;

Carefully prepare all needed data base original, copies –hard copies as well as soft copies;

Quality assurance to ensure the activities are accomplishing the set goals;

To improve monitoring, data collection and reporting during programme implementation in order to track intermediate changes against programme indicators in Programme LFA and adjust activities to ensure achievements of indicators;

To introduce and maintain sound tools of programme and project monitoring (AKVO Tool)

To support baseline data collection and draft mid-term

Qualifications required

A bachelor’s degree in management, development studies, education or related discipline;

Excellent planning, analytical, conceptual, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines;

Background in Monitoring and Evaluation (preferably);

A good team player;

Excellent oral; written and report writing skills;

Proficient computer skills (MS OFFICE – Ms Word, Ms Excel and Ms PowerPoint), knowledge of

AKVO tool (preferably);

Excellent language skills in English, Russian and Kyrgyz;
