IBC briefs German businesspeople on investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan

On June 23, 2023, representatives of the International Business Council met with a delegation of German businesspeople headed by Udo Philipp, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov spoke about the activities of the business association, the peculiarities of doing business in our country, the areas in which German business is represented here, as well as about investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan. The participants of the meeting discussed the potential of interaction with the companies included in the delegation.

“We, as the largest international business association in the country, are ready to provide all possible assistance to German companies entering Kyrgyzstan’s market, to help find local partners and resolve possible problematic issues,” the IBC head said.

According to Askar Sydykov, our country has a good investment potential, an enterprising population, a developed civil society and democracy, which positively affects the activity of business associations.

The German delegation was represented by heads of well-known German companies operating in various sectors of the economy including the production of building materials, services in the field of mining, engineering, logistics, energy, tourism and other areas.
