On March 12, IBC representatives took part in the roundtable on green economy and environmental conservation.

The Snow Leopard Trust with the assistance of the Public Council of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic on the transition to a green economy presented the draft Development Strategy based on the preservation of nature.

The Parliament deputies, representatives of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, key ministries and departments, entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of international and non-governmental organizations working in the field of environmental protection participated in the roundtable.

In 2018, the Jogorku Kenesh approved the Green Economy Concept of the Kyrgyz Republic, which defines the main directions in the ecological development of the country's economy. The Parliament ordered the Government to develop an action plan and a green economy program.
