On December 13, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
The law makes amendments to the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to which entities with activities falling under the business activity and / or recognized as such are subject to tax registration in the Kyrgyz Republic (editorial changes are made to Article 95, part 1).

On December 10, the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion a draft Government Resolution “On the amount of fees for state registration (re-registration) and registration of the termination of activities of legal entities and their branches (representative offices)”.
The draft resolution aims to bring the regulatory legal acts of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic into compliance with the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on non-tax incomes by approving rates of fees for state registration (re-registration) and registration of the termination of activities of legal entities and their branches (representative offices), representative offices (branches) foreign legal entities.

On December 13, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted the third reading of the draft Law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic”. The initiator is the Government, Resolution No. 624 of 09/09/15.
The bill exempts land tax for:
- means of communication, land strips along roads of national and local significance, with the exception of those provided for agricultural use;
- under the reservoirs and flooded areas, and power lines used to generate or transmit electricity, except those provided for agricultural use.
On December 14, the Ministry of Economy submitted a draft Government Resolution “On the authorized person to protect the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of business entities (Business Ombudsman)" to the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The bill is designed to ensure guarantees of state protection of the rights and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs and their observance by government bodies, local governments, institutions and state enterprises and officials.
