IBC took part in a meeting of the State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (SAGMR) to discuss results of the agency’s activities for 2015. The meeting was attended by representatives of mining companies, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Pankratov. The agency examined 137 mining projects and initiated bills to improve the activities of mining companies in the past year. The SAGMR has developed an interactive map, which allows tracking online the licensed areas and activities of mining companies, and other information.
