On 9-10 July, 2015 the First International Business Forum “Jalal-Abad - 2015” organized by Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad province will be held in Jalal-Abad city. The Forum is organized as part of the National Investment Policy embedded in the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic for the period of 2013-2017.

The Business Forum is held in order to improve investment climate and attract foreign and domestic investment in projects that contribute to economic growth in the region, strengthening of trade and economic relations and creation of new enterprises providing employment and become a modern platform for a constructive dialogue needed for successful implementation of solid investment and business projects in Jalal-Abad province.

As part of the Forum it is expected that Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic will visit Jalal-Abad and participate in the round table and panel discussions.

The programme of the activity also envisages conduct of:

- Group round tables by industries: development of agriculture and processing industry, energy industry, infrastructure and construction, tourism and services;

- Presentations of ready-made business projects in Jalal-Abad province for potential investors;

- Panel discussions and negotiations in B2B format (business to business);

- Exhibition of goods produced by local and foreign companies, as well as folk handicrafts and items;

- Visit to large industrial enterprises of Jalal-Abad province;

- Press-conference and official reception on behalf of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad province.

The Forum is an important international event with participating representatives from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign countries (Russia, China, Turkey), leading Kyrgyz and international companies, heads of diplomatic missions, including representatives of international missions and agencies, the diaspora compatriots abroad, chambers of commerce and trade associations, investment banks and micro credit institutions.

The Business Forum is organized with support of UNDP project “Aid for Trade”, OSCE Centre in Bishkek and the German Society for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ) with assistance of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the South of Kyrgyzstan, the Southern Department of the Chamber of Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz - Turkish Lyceum Kurmanbek Batyr, Jalal - Abad State University and the University of Economics and Entrepreneurship.

The ceremonial opening of the Forum will be held at 9:00 am on July 9, 2015, on the main square of Jalal-Abad city.
