Action Plan on cotton industry development is drafted

On January 19, 2016 the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation submitted for public discussion the draft Resolution “On Action Plan on Cotton Industry Development of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2017 – 2027 years”.

Nearly ten years ago the cotton was one of the main sources of income for the South of the Kyrgyz Republic. The current industry is about full decline, and there is an urgent need to take appropriate measures. The purpose of the Action Plan is to create favorable conditions for the reconstruction and development of the cotton industry.
