The event was organized in partnership with the International Business Council.
The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies, national companies and the private sector, major entrepreneurs and heads of leading companies in Kyrgyzstan, including IBC members.
“For the first time in such a long time, a delegation of 30 companies from France has arrived to Kyrgyzstan. We welcome their business and will try to connect these companies with potential partners in our country, expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation,” said IBC head Askar Sydykov.
The business delegation was led by Guy Sidos, Chairman and CEO of Vicat Group, and Géraldine Lemble, Deputy CEO of MEDEF International (French International Business Movement). MEDEF International is the largest private business network in France, focused on promoting French companies in international markets, particularly in emerging and developing countries.
The delegation included representatives of a number of leading French companies operating in the fields of aerospace innovation, construction, railway infrastructure, energy, renewable energy, consulting and other industries.
The meeting participants discussed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation, including in infrastructure projects and attracting foreign investment, and expressed interest in implementing joint initiatives.
