Members of the International Business Council (IBC) took part in a meeting of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev with the business community of the country.

Heads of large companies, as well as representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from all regions of the country attended the meeting held in the Ala-Archa State Residence.

Summing up his activities as President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Almazbek Atambayev decided to discuss what has been done for the business over the past six years, and what else can be done before the end of his presidency, as well as to listen to the entrepreneurs’ suggestions to ensure continuity of the tasks.

“It was a live and interested dialogue between the President and business community. Many vital issues in various areas were discussed. The President and entrepreneurs considered both, private problems faced by SMEs, and global issues related to large infrastructure projects and the interaction of the Kyrgyz Republic with other states,” IBC Deputy Executive Director Daniyar Mederov said.

Entrepreneurs were interested in additional sources of lending, following the example of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The President told them about the achieved agreements with the PRC and European countries.

The meeting participants also discussed the implementation of the Governmental program "Jany Doordo - Kyrk Kadam" (Forty steps to the future), which covers all spheres of the country's life, as well as the introduction of the Taza Koom high-tech project including the creation of e-government.
