Results of a survey on Kyrgyzstan Construction Materials Value Chain Stakeholder Analysis

The International Business Council (IBC) and JIA Business Association with support of the USAID Business Growth Initiative Project (BGI) held a roundtable on the theme: "Development prospects of building materials industry in the Kyrgyz Republic" on February 24 in Bishkek.

The roundtable brought together representatives of the Government, the USAID Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, country's leading construction companies and enterprises - manufacturers of building materials, as well as companies involved in logistics and marketing.

Speakers reported on the results of a survey of construction materials value chain in Kyrgyzstan. The study surveyed the opinions of all participants in the construction cycle including processing of raw materials, building materials, construction and contracting services, as well as services related to the construction market. More than 300 companies engaged in activities related to the construction industry were involved in the survey.
