The project was supported by the East-West Management Centre, which is supported by USAID. The objective of the project was to revive, promote, and increase in demand for high-quality internship among university students. The long-term objective of the project was to create a framework for developing a legal framework that encourages enterprises that support internship programs.

Within the framework of the project IBC together with JIA (regional business association) a model of the internship program was developed, where 40 students benefited from the project. We managed to increase awareness of state bodies with specific orientation, parliamentary committees with the focus on taxes and social payments. Moreover, a manual was developed for HR departments of enterprises on effective administration of internship programs. Within the framework of the project five career centers at higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan were involved.
