Who We Are
The International Business Council (IBC) was established in December 2000. The IBC is an organization which brings together around 110 leading companies with both foreign and local capital in the Kyrgyz Republic. Our members and partners include the largest taxpayers representing almost all sectors of the Kyrgyz economy and well-known domestic brands, as well as prominent international organizations. The IBC is a sustainable institution, employing experts with economic, legal and financial specialties. Its vision is to make the Kyrgyz Republic a more attractive investment location by promoting good business legislation and creating a favourable environment by enabling public-private dialogue and organizing regular committee sessions and round tables. The IBC actively supports the economic reform process and ensures that private sector investors are represented in the government policy activities.
The IBC has a strong recognition amongst the International finance institutions (IFI), embassies, and donor agencies. The IBC works closely with the government and other local and international organizations to fight corruption and to change laws and practice that impede social or economic justice. Through active participation in lawmaking and public activity, we protect legitimate business interests and contribute to making the Kyrgyz Republic an attractive investment destination.
The IBC’s mission is to engage in political advocacy. The IBC promotes common interests of business investors and provides members with relevant information and advice to support their business operations in the Kyrgyz Republic. When businesses band together, they achieve more than they could on their own.
