On December 26, the KAZ Minerals Bozymchak LLC resumed its work after the events of October 5-6, 2020.

"Today's launch of the business is a landmark event that says we are restoring investor confidence," Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov said on December 26 during his visit to the Bozymchak deposit, which is being developed by the KAZ Minerals Bozymchak LLC.

“Everyone was in a losing situation because of the downtime of the enterprise. There were no tax payments to the budget, and about 1000 people were out of work. Now our citizens have returned to their jobs, and social payments and deductions to the budget will be made,” said Novikov.

Over the past two months, the government has been consulting with the company management and local communities. An agreement was reached on further building up economic cooperation and interaction between the enterprise and the local population, including the supply of locally produced goods.

The possibility of creating economic clusters for the production of products that will be consumed on the territory of the enterprise was considered. Artem Novikov assigned personal responsibility to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad Oblast for ensuring the stable operation of the company, noting that outreach work should be carried out constantly.

Novikov paid special attention to the compliance with international environmental requirements during field development.
