KPMG inaugural fintech benchmarking report takes an in-depth, forward-looking view of fintech activity, practices and strategies at global banks, insurers and asset management companies.
Fintech is one of the biggest disruptors of our time for financial institutions, whether banks, insurers, or asset management companies. To better understand how companies are evolving to meet the new digital paradigm, we surveyed 168 financial institutions from 36 countries, interviewed executives from leading financial institutions, as well as our own professionals, on how companies are “forging the future” with fintech.
“There is no single best way to approach fintech. Yet, one best practice across all leading institutions is a focused and strong fintech strategy,” comments Yelena Kim, Partner, Financial Services, KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The report outlines seven key elements for a strong fintech strategy, as well as four key questions and framework that businesses should consider when approaching fintech.
