On May 29, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed the Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts on Non-tax Revenues, Internal Audit and Recognition of Some Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic." The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on April 26, 2018. The law aims to bring the norms of certain normative legal acts into compliance with the requirements of the Budget Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on non-tax revenues and internal audit.
On May 29, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the draft Law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in Connection with the Signing of the Agreement on the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union". On January 1, 2018, the Agreement on the Customs Code of the EEU entered into force in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, some legislative acts should be amended. It is proposed to amend the Tax Code with regard to the abolition of tax benefits.
On May 30, a draft law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic" was submitted for public discussion. The deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Iskhak Masaliev and Kurmankul Zulushev drafted amendments to the Law "On guarantees of the activities of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic". The amendments will allow courts to prosecute a president after his removal from office.
On May 31, the Jogorku Kenesh considered the first reading of the draft law "On Public-Private Partnership". The bill is designed to simplify procedures and shorten the time for preparing of public-private partnership projects, to select a private partner and to shorten the time for holding a tender.
