Government approves Action Plan to ensure economic sustainability

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved an Action Plan for 2020 to ensure social stability and economic sustainability in the country.

Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov has signed the corresponding decision, the Press Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The Action Plan presents specific measures until the end of 2020, which will be aimed at combating the epidemic in order to preserve the life and health of people, to maintain social stability and entrepreneurial activity of citizens.

The main priority of the government's work will be social and economic support for the population and the business sector, most affected by the crisis, including the preservation of jobs and increasing social guarantees for the population.

The Action Plan covers the following key areas:

- Protection of the health of citizens;

- Supporting socially vulnerable groups of the population and increasing social guarantees for pensioners;

- Transition to a distance format in the field of education;

- Ensuring the sustainability of the economy. One of the key areas is to support the business sector and ensure the stability of the country's financial system by creating a favorable business environment and improving the mechanisms of tax and customs administration. The Government will provide financial support for business entities by preferential lending, postponement of obligations of entrepreneurs on loans in commercial banks, and increasing the efficiency of business support institutions.
