IWG is drafting a SME development program in Kyrgyzstan

On April 16, 2019, a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on drafting a Program for the development and support of SMEs in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2023 was held at the Economy Ministry.

IBC (International Business Council) representative is an IWG member.

The working group discussed the proposals received from government agencies and business associations on problems that hinder the growth and development of businesses in the country, as well as their solutions.

The IWG was established by order of the Economy Ministry dated March 5, 2019 to implement the Presidential Decree dated October 31, 2018 “On the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2040”.

The first IWG meeting held on March 29, 2019, considered such topics as the results of focus-group discussions in the regions of the country, previously unimplemented activities, and development targets of the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2040.

At its meetings, the IWG also discussed administrative barriers in the licensing, control and supervisory system, tax legal relations and social deductions, etc.
