Cooperation prospects with Ukraine considered

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kyrgyz Republic Valery Zhovtenko discussed today the state and development prospects of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.

Ukraine supplies pharmaceutical products, various food products, including sugar and confectionery, nuclear reactors, boilers, electrical machines, etc. to Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan exports to Ukraine animal skins, ground transportation vehicles, food products, mainly fruits and nuts, etc.

Ways of expanding cooperation between businesses of the two countries were considered. According to statistics, the total volume of foreign trade in goods and services between Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine amounted to $32.4 million and decreased by 19.4% in 2018 compared to 2017.
