Creation of an Investment Guides Institution discussed in Kyrgyzstan

The Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic suggested creating of an Investment Guides Institution in the country, proposing the Governance in Action – Support to Jogorku Kenesh – Kyrgyz Republic program to to join efforts to develop this idea.

On March 22, IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov took part in a meeting to discuss the conceptual and strategic aspects of this idea.

The goal of the project is to attract the creative human potential of the Kyrgyz Republic for the development of small businesses and attracting investments.

An expert group of stakeholders will contribute to the refinement of the concept and shared vision, and the exchange of experience and ideas.

To enhance investment in small and medium businesses by increasing business activity of the population, including citizens who are abroad, the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic has developed a draft Regulation on the (Investment Guides Institution of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The main task of the investment guides is to search and attract potential investors, create interest among investors, as well as create investment platforms and form business connections.
