On December 10, a roundtable was held on the topic “Prospects for regulatory reforms based on experience, results of monitoring of decisions of the Regulatory Reform Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the for Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council at Parliament Speaker, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, experts from the BizExpert AC, International Business Council, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, and various business associations.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov stressed the importance of regulatory reform, in the implementation of which IBC was a partner in business relations.

“The success of this reform will determine how development partners will be involved in other similar projects,” said the IBC head.

The reform covers all normative legal acts governing business activities.

“A lot of criticism sounds about the failure of some recommendations of the reform. Currently, 58% of the recommendations have been implemented, and this is quite a lot. If we take into account the recommendations under consideration, it will be 75%. We are constantly working with government agencies and we know how difficult this process is. The main thing is that these recommendations are being implemented, and these are more than a thousand of normative legal acts,” Sydykov concluded.
