On July 22, the Kyrgyz resort city of Cholpon-Ata at Lake Issyk-Kul will host the Third Economic Forum “Issyk-Kul 2016”. IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov will moderate the session "Financial sector, tourism and healthcare."
The Issyk-Kul province, like the other regions of Kyrgyzstan, has a big investment potential. To promote the investment development of the Issyk-Kul province, the Economy Ministry has since 2014 organized the annual “Issyk-Kul” Economic Forum. The event has become a tradition in the country’s economic life and is important for the Kyrgyz business community.
Participants of the previous two forums signed agreements for large investment projects in the spheres of economy, mining industry, and agriculture.
The Third Economic Forum “Issyk-Kul 2016” will focus on deepening business cooperation and encouragement of joint development projects. The forum will open up broad opportunities for constructive dialogue between representatives of the business community and will become an effective platform for joining efforts for improving the investment climate in the region and promotion of Kyrgyzstan’s economic cooperation with foreign countries.
The forum will work in the following sections: agro-industrial sector, tourism and ecology, mining, energy, finance, and telecommunications.
Participants from Russia, South Korea, India, Turkey, and China will learn more about Kyrgyzstan’s investment opportunities.
Proposals and ideas produced at the forum would help sustainable development of the Kyrgyz economy and business environment.
