IBC Deputy Executive Director Askar Sydykov and Lawyer of the Kalikova & Associates law firm Jyldyz Tagaeva made presentations at 7th Session of the Regional Public-Private Dialogue (RPPD) Platform “Legal Framework in Subsoil Use”.
The meeting was held on May 24-25 within the framework of the GIZ Regional Program «Mineral Resources for Development in Central Asia". The discussion was attended by the heads of the GIZ program, ministries and state agencies of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The meeting participants discussed the importance of progressive legislation in subsoil use to create a favorable investment climate.
The 7th Session of the Regional Public-Private Dialogue (RPPD) Platform “Legal Framework in Subsoil Use” has become an instrument for exchange and learning with the support of our partners over the course of the last three years. The dialogue platform session has utilized the current momentum of mining law reform in the partner countries for stimulating vivid discussions around all the key aspects of such a framework transformation.
The meeting addressed the most pressing issues lying at the heart of the current reform processes in Central Asia.
