September 7, 2015

IBC Executive Director Temirbek Azhykulov participated in a meeting of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariyev with the Board of JIA Business Association.

The meeting held on September 5discussed the investment climate and projects implemented in the country, as well as issues related to the development of the business environment and the creation of additional jobs. According to Temir Sariyev, the Government pays special attention to comply with the order in the state structures. Entrepreneurs shared their views about the development of business in the country, attracting investment, and told about problems faced by the business community.

Temirbek Azhykulov commented on the activity of the Methodological Council on fiscal policy coordination at the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is currently headed by the Deputy Economy Minister BakkeldiTumenbaev. The Council was created to discuss issues of mutual concern to both the Government and business, and to find joint solutions. However, the agenda was formed without the participation of business, and there is a pressure from the tax authorities in solving problems, Azhykulov said.

The Prime Minister instructed to arrange a meeting with the heads of relevant government agencies to discuss the problems voiced by the entrepreneurs.
