On November 20, the IBC Financial Market Committee considered the possibility of remote identification and development of remote banking services, as well as issues of increasing the amount of online loans.

Oleg Balandin, head of the remote banking services department of Bai Tushum Bank CJSC, answered questions from committee members.

To expand the possibilities of remote servicing of the population, it was proposed to regulate the use of remote identification of customers / potential customers of banks in existing regulatory legal acts of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Remote identification is a mechanism that allows individuals to receive financial services remotely, confirming their identity using biometric personal data (face image and voice), conducting video calls with a bank employee, processing photos with a passport (reconciling a client with a passport) in any bank.

Remote identification will increase the accessibility and effectiveness of banking services, including for people with disabilities, the elderly and people with limited mobility. Thanks to this mechanism, it will become much more convenient for the client to receive services regardless of the time of day, location of the client or the branch network of the bank.
