On October 16, 2015 the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic has submitted for public discussion a draft normative legal act which proposes to decrease the rates of excise tax on gasoline from 5,000 soms to 3000 soms per ton. It is stated that the aim of the draft bill is not only excise tax reduction, but also increase of the legal import of petrol to the country.
