State Environmental Agency developed an environmental impact assessment methodology for glaciers

On September 15, 2015 State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion the draft Resolution “On Approval of Environmental Impact Assessment Methodology for Glaciers on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

The Methodology helps to calculate the damages to glaciers and associated economic losses resulted from violations of the environmental protection law and / or caused by natural or anthropogenic factors.
