President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed the Decree “On the introduction of a temporary ban (moratorium) on conducting inspections of business entities.”

Until December 31, 2024, a moratorium will be introduced on inspections of business entities conducted by law enforcement and other authorized bodies that have the right to conduct inspections of business entities, with the exception of inspections carried out at the request of government officials in case of specific facts of violation by a business entity of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic with documents, materials and other supporting information attached.

The Cabinet of Ministers, within three months, has to develop and submit to the Parliament a bill regulating the rules for inspections of business entities conducted by law enforcement, tax and other authorized bodies, only after their registration with the prosecutor's office.

The International Business Council expresses hope for the full implementation of this decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and for the improvement of the business environment and investment climate as a result of limiting unreasonable inspections of entrepreneurs.
