On December 4, 2023, IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov met with Deputy Secretary of State, Head of the Eurasia Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation Muriel Peneveyre.

The meeting was also attended by Swiss Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Olivier Bangerter.

The meeting participants discussed the current investment climate and benefits of doing business in Kyrgyzstan. Particular attention was paid to issues of interaction in the trade, economic, investment and environmental spheres.

Taking into account the existing potential, the meeting participants expressed their readiness for joint efforts to develop Kyrgyz-Swiss interaction by attracting investments, strengthening public-private dialogue and establishing B2B contacts.

The Swiss Cooperation Program for Kyrgyzstan for 2022-2025, aimed at socially significant areas of the country’s life, is being successfully implemented. In 2022, the two countries celebrated 30 years of diplomatic relations.
