On February 25, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted a ceremony to award the winners of the competition for quality awards of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2017.

IBC representatives attended the event. The IBC Executive Director is an Awarding Council member. The competition aims to stimulate the improvement of the quality of products and services, to promote the introduction of modern production technologies for competitive goods and quality management. 92 organizations in the field of tourism and hotel services from various regions of the country took part in the competition.

At the Council meetings, IBC proposed from 2018 to include consulting services (law firms, auditing companies, etc.), banking services (banks, microfinance and microcredit institutions), communication services (telecom operators, Internet providers), construction services insurance, and logistics and IT companies in the contest.
