IBC representatives took part in a meeting at the Economy Ministry to consider the issues of VAT exemption when importing banking equipment to the Kyrgyz Republic for the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022.

The meeting participants supported the initiative adding that the provision of the volume of imports of necessary banking equipment by banking institutions is currently not possible, since the State has not created the appropriate conditions for installing POS terminals for wide coverage of outlets, especially in the regions of the country.
