Kyrgyzstan's air transport development discussed with the heads of international aviation organizations

A roundtable "The Importance of Air Transport for the Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic" was held in Bishkek on May 19 at Hyatt Regency Bishkek.

The event was organized by the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) under the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic, the International Business Council CSR Central Asiaб and IATA Regional Office.

The roundtable was held in the framework of the official visit of the President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu and the delegation of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) led by IATA Vice-President Rafael Schvartzman to Kyrgyzstan. The roundtable participants discussed the situation in the civil aviation of Kyrgyzstan, its importance for the country's economy and the state of the Manas International Airport.

The head of the Turkish Aviation Administration Bahri Kesici presented the Turkish model of civil aviation optimization on the example of Turkish Airlines. This model was proposed as a basis for the modernization of local airlines.

At the end of the meeting, a memorandum was signed between the CAA and IATA, which provides for measures to remove Kyrgyz airlines from the European Union's "blacklist".
