Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev was invited to the meeting to discuss the mechanisms of cooperation between the Parliament and IBC сommittees. Members of the IBC Committee expressed their willingness to provide the necessary advice or other expert assistance to the MP for initiating amendments to the legislation regarding fiscal issues. The Committee discussed the problems of the communication operators in the default of Kyrgyzstan's fiscal authorities to implement international obligations. Tax authorities require VAT payment by operators for international calls, while Kyrgyzstan is a member of international treaties, according to which the services of international calls are exempt supplies. Following the meeting, it was decided to set up an expert group of telecom operators within the IBC committee to development IBC unified position on this issue and to determine further action.
