The largest issue of corporate Bonds in the history of the Kyrgyz Republic

KICB has started placement of the largest issue of corporate bonds in Kyrgyz Republic – third Issue of Bonds with total amount of 200 000 000 KGS with annual return of 14%, face value of 1 000 KGS, quarterly interest payment. Third issue was registered on August 28, 2015 by the State Agency for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market under the Government of KR. Placement of Bank’s securities started on September10, 2015 and will be completed on May 31, 2016. The Underwriter of the issue is Financial Company “Senti”, who has extensive experience in bonds placement of big companies in Kyrgyzstan

It is worth to note that income received from bond investments is tax free both for individuals and legal entities, since the KICB securities are included in “Blue Chips” category of listing at Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (art.167, 189, 223 of the KR Tax Code). Bondholders can sell their securities in the secondary market and return their investment amount before the maturity. Besides investors can exercise the put option provided by the issuing terms.

Additionally, KICB informs investors that on September 16, 2015 the Bank will redeem the 1st Issue of Bonds in amount of KGS 100 million and return to investors their invested funds in full range. Second issue bonds in amount of KGS 150 million placed on May, 2015 are actively traded in the secondary market. KICB securities were purchased by the wide range of investors including individuals and legal entities, representatives of the financial sector of Kyrgyzstan and also by major international financial institution – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

With the purpose to mobilize the internal resources in national currency for its further channeling to SME financing, KICB is one of the largest commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan and the only Issuer of corporate bonds. As of today, debt securities issued by the Bank compiled KGS 450 Mio, which consists 1% of the Bank`s liabilities.
