IBC representatives took part in a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier. Strengthening the current OSCE engagement with Kyrgyzstan and discussing future cooperation was the focus of Zannier’s two-day visit to Bishkek. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the preparation and conducting of the upcoming elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. The meeting discussed co-operation in the project activities of the OSCE in Kyrgyzstan, as well as issues of international and regional security. The OSCE has implemented a range of projects in Kyrgyzstan. They include, among others, providing expert advice in fighting transnational threats; promoting good governance, human rights and the rule of law.
