IBC celebrates its 15th anniversary

We are happy to announce that this year our association celebrates its 15th anniversary. On December 11, 2015 we are planning to hold an anniversary party for IBC members and partners, inviting also representatives of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Government, Parliament, international and civil society organizations which are close partners of IBC.

It will be a great opportunity for IBC members and guests to meet up in an informal and cozy atmosphere of Hyatt Regency Bishkek. We’d like to tell the history of our association and its active members; report on the achievements and success stories for the past 15 years, and to share our plans for the future. Such a meeting will not only consolidate our current members, but also attract more attention to our association and involve new companies into the IBC membership.

We’ll do our best to make the event informative, diverse, special and not boring. After the official welcoming speeches and IBC presentation, an entertainment program will follow.

Role of business in sustainable development

International Business Council is pleased to invite you to the next IBC open meeting organized in collaboration with UNDP Role of business in sustainable development that will take place on December 16 at 9:30 am, in Ala-Too Hall of City Hotel. Registration will start at 9:00 am.

Business community welcomes the efforts of the United Nations (UN) in promoting stakeholders’ initiatives in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The final document on Sustainable Development for the period until 2030 consisted of 17 Sustainable Development Goals, one of which deals with "strengthening the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development". As noted by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, "The world needs an international financial framework that is predictable and effective in meeting these challenges and achieving sustainable and inclusive development", and the role of business in this issue is inseparable.

The business community believes that it is necessary to raise awareness of all stakeholders, in particular businesses, about partnerships opportunities to promote sustainable development.

Round Table «Automated Feedback Mechanism as a Tool for Cooperation of Business Community the State Inspectorate»

The Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the IFC Investment Climate Advisory Services Project in the Kyrgyz Republic have an honor to invite you to take part in the Round Table «Automated Feedback Mechanism as a Tool for Cooperation of Business Community the State Inspectorate».

Brief review of the feedback mechanism activities and analysis of received data will be presented during the Round Table, as well as comments and proposals of the business community will be discussed. The aim of the feedback mechanism is to evaluate the State Inspectorate cooperation with the business community in a prompt and objective manner. Outcomes of such evaluation will be used for further improvement of the State Inspectorate activities.
