Kant TSP building a plant for slate production in Batken oblast

On October 5, 2019, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev got acquainted with the construction of slate production plant in Kyzyl-Kiya city of the Batken oblast by the Kant TSP LLC (pipe and slate enterprise).

The estimated cost of the project is 255 million soms, and it will start operating in the first quarter of 2020.

“The design capacity of the enterprise, which will use local raw materials, will be 3.7 million slate plates per year. 120 jobs will be created here. The company will continue to expand and modernize production in the coming years,” said Sanjar Kaparov, CEO of the company.

According to the Prime Minister, financial institutions such as the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Aiyl (Agricultural) Bank OJSC, RSK Bank, and Guarantee Fund are carrying out relevant work to support entrepreneurs in the country's regions.

In addition, 2 billion soms were allocated to support investment and infrastructure business projects for the development of regions, and the Social Partnership for Regional Development Fund was created.

“We support initiatives to create new industrial enterprises, which will create new jobs and develop the local community and the region as a whole,” Abylgaziev said.

Local authorities were entrusted to provide support and assistance to the enterprise.
