Ways to increase efficiency of enterprises with a state share discussed at the conference in Bishkek

On March 26, the State Property Management Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the World Bank held a conference on “Improving the transparency and efficiency of enterprises with state shares.

The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, Government Office, Parliament, state bodies, as well as heads of state-owned companies and enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of business associations, including IBC.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zamirbek Askarov, Deputy Ambassador of Switzerland to the Kyrgyz Republic Daniel Monteleone, IFC Country Officer. Martin Naegele spoke at the conference.

Nurlan Rakhmetov, Managing Director for Privatization and Restructuring of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, informed on the transformational effect of state-owned enterprise reforms on the economy of Kazakhstan. Head of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Malaysia) Bakar Aziz spoke about advanced economies and management reforms of state-owned enterprises.

Natalia Manuilova, Senior Financial Management Officer at the World Bank, acquainted the conference participants with best practices and international trends in the management of state-owned companies.
