On July 1, 2022, the International Business Council held a long-awaited summer event — IBC Golf Fest.

“After a long break due to the pandemic, we have resumed the tradition of events at the Maple Leaf Golf Club,” said Askar Sydykov, IBC Executive Director, opening the golf festival.

“But this time we organized our networking in a more free form and casual, taking into account mid-summer weather conditions and other factors.”

Unlike previous tournaments, this time there was no best ball game on a large field, requiring certain skills and preparation, but a wide range of different outdoor activities.

Thanking all partners of the Golf Fest for their assistance in holding the event, the IBC head expressed hope that friends, colleagues and partners would strengthen business ties there and just have a good time.

“They say that every tenth major deal in the world was closed on a golf course. I hope that new projects and ideas will be born at our event, and deals will be concluded for the benefit of the country's economy,” said the IBC head.

Then the participants were greeted by representatives of the general partner of the event —Founder of Kant TSP LLC Tanvir Aftab and General Director Sanjar Kaparov. They thanked IBC for the work done in voicing the business opinion at various venues and noted the important role of the golf tournament in establishing business contacts.

Undoubtedly, mini-golf competitions were exciting for the participants, where they had to show skill in the range and accuracy of strokes. Therefore, before the start of the competition, the golf club coach informed about the rules of the game, explained how to hit the ball correctly and other details.

A pleasant surprise for everyone was the abundance of entertainment including master classes in modeling, drawing, the Chinese intellectual game Go, which is gaining popularity in our country. There were also a photo booth, a van with ice cream, various competitions with prizes, and a huge selection of treats. The incendiary live music from the famous bands of our city cheered up.

In the children's area, every child, regardless of age, could find entertainment to their liking, whether it was trampoline jumping or playing with animators, modeling, drawing.

Before the awarding of prizes to the winners of the competitions, Askar Sydykov presented certificates to new members of the association who joined IBC over the past month — Freedom Finance JSC Branch in Bishkek, Abdysh-Ata LLC and Bishkek Transport Company LLC.

IBC Golf Fest has become a successful continuation of the traditional IBC golf tournament, but in a new festival format with a rich program. In a relaxed atmosphere, the tournament brought together socially responsible businesses, IBC partners from government agencies, international organizations and diplomatic missions.

“We will continue to hold such informal events to bring like-minded people together and strengthen B2B ties, business cooperation with international organizations, government agencies and diplomatic missions,” the IBC head concluded.
