Business community is ready to mediate in negotiations to stabilize the situation in Kyrgyzstan

On behalf of all entrepreneurs, IBC head Askar Sydykov called on compatriots and all political forces of the country for unity at a meeting of heads of the country's leading business associations.

“In this difficult time, our country needs to return to the legal field. We urge to restore the work of government agencies, as well as to peacefully resolve political and economic issues. For its part, the business community is ready to assist in resolving these issues. We are also ready to conduct peace negotiations with all political forces of the country for the subsequent withdrawal of the situation in the legal field,” said Askar Sydykov.

The participants in the meeting decided to create a negotiating group that will deal with issues of resolving a number of problems to ensure the security of business and entrepreneurship, to establish a dialogue with all government bodies, as well as a dialogue of the government with the private sector of the country. The current state of the economy is collapsing and falling into decay, heads of the business associations said.

Objectives of the negotiating group:

1. To Initiate a dialogue between political parties, the president and other stakeholders;

2. To assist in reaching a compromise solution to return the country to the legal field, reduce social tension and ensure the vital activity of the economy and all spheres of the state activity.

We believe that the inclusion of independent representatives of the business community in the negotiation process will help stabilize the socio-political situation in the country as soon as possible. We express our confidence that the negotiation process will not be committed to outside influence.

The negotiating group includes:

Askar Salymbekov, philanthropist and entrepreneur;

Talaibek Koichumanov, Head of the Secretariat of the Business Development and Investment Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic;

Askar Sydykov, Executive Director of the International Business Council;

Gulnara Uskenbaeva, President of the Association of Suppliers;

Bakyt Degenbaev, Chairman of the Association of Domestic Producers;

Baktybek Shamkeev, Executive Director of the Association for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex;

Elvira Borombaeva, President of the Association of Small Hydroelectric Power Plants.
