On April 10, 2019, the IBC Financial Market Committee discussed the possibilities of remote identification and development of remote banking services.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov and Maksatbek Ishenbaev, IBC Financial Market Committee Chairman, spoke about the results of the initiative groups within the Committee, which developed and submitted to the relevant state bodies proposals on three draft laws – on public procurement, on lotteries and on pledge.

Specialists of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the banking sector informed on the draft document on the use of electronic signatures developed by the NBKR and submitted for public discussion. They also answered questions from the meeting participants.

The draft regulatory legal act aims to empower financial institutions to provide remote services to the public and increase the penetration of financial services.

Following the meeting, it was decided to create an initiative group to develop proposals and comments on the reviewed NLAs.
