Draft Tourism Development Marketing Strategy presented

On March 7, IBC representatives took part in the presentation of the draft Tourism Development Marketing Strategy in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Tourism Department at the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Governance in Action – Support to Jogorku Kenesh – Kyrgyz Republic Program has drafted a Tourism Development Marketing Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The document defines strategic goals in the tourism development: strategic tourism products; target audience of tourists; program results for achieving strategic goals; strategic objectives for the implementation of program results; and action plans for the implementation of strategic objectives.

The event was attended by the Parliament deputies, representatives of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, business associations, travel companies, international organizations and the expert community.

The Director of the Department of Tourism at the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with experts, conducted an introductory presentation of the marketing strategy project aimed to unite the efforts of all stakeholders in the strategy’s implementation.
