IBC has compiled a weekly review of the most important changes in Kyrgyz legislation.

On November 29, the Parliament deputies adopted in three readings the draft laws “On approving the report on the execution of the national budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2017”, “On introducing amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the national budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018 and the forecast for 2019-2020” and “About the national budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019 and the forecast for 2020-2021”. On November 28, the Kyrgyz Parliament approved the first reading of the draft law “On introducing amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of some states for a period of up to 60 days”. According to the bill’s author MP Dastan Bekeshev, the law adopted in 2012, aimed to increase the tourist flow, and introduced a visa-free travel to citizens of 44 countries, and one more country was added to the list in 2013. The adoption of this law contributed to the growth of tourist flow in the Kyrgyz Republic, but the law will expire in 2020. Therefore, the MP proposes to make this law indefinite.
