The Council of Ukraine's Ombudsman helped return to businesses over $450 million of illegally charged taxes, fines and other payments for the last four years.

Deputy Business Ombudsman of Ukraine, Tatyana Korotkaya, told about this to representatives of the business community of Kyrgyzstan, including the IBC on October 31. As is known, Kyrgyzstan’s Government decided to create a Business Ombudsman Institution, and Ukraine’s successful experience was taken as the basis for developing the regulatory framework and determining the format and principles of this body.

A guest from Ukraine told how and why they created this office, and shared experiences and nuances that should be taken into account to avoid problematic situations while protecting business and entrepreneurship.

IBC hopes that the Business Ombudsman Institution in Kyrgyzstan will also provide businesses with the same reliable protection.

We are glad to inform you that IBC proposals for the creation of this institution will be taken into account when drafting the relevant regulatory framework.
