The IBC Mineral Resources Committee discussed changes to the new Law on Subsoil and problems of its application, in particular, the legal vacuum that has arisen with the procedure for extending licenses for subsoil use.

Disclosure of individual beneficiaries by public companies when obtaining licenses for subsoil use will contribute to improving the transparency in the industry.

The Committee members also considered the possibility of holding a MINEX mining forum in Kyrgyzstan. This forum is among the largest events on exploration, extraction and processing of solid minerals in the Eurasian Economic Union.
