On July 4, the State Migration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic introduced for public discussion a draft resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amending Certain Decisions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic with a view to bringing it in line with the Laws "On External Labor Migration" and "On the Licensing and Permit System in the Kyrgyz Republic". The document provides for an increase in the cost of a work permit for foreign individual entrepreneurs to 50,000 soms (currently the fee is 20,000 soms). More

On July 4, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion a draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Tariffs of Insurance Contributions for State Social Insurance"). The bill provides for reducing the tax burden and the amount of social contributions to legal entities that carry out activities in the garment and textile industries. More

On July 4, the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion a draft resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Approval of the Rules for the Identification of Mobile Communication Devices in the Territory of the Kyrgyz Republic". It is proposed to tighten the rules for registration of mobile communication devices, both imported and already operating. More

From July 1 to July 31, 2018, a pilot project on the issuance of voluntary and mandatory patents as well as patents for an employees engaged in activities subject to mandatory patenting in in electronic format (electronic patents) will be implemented in the cities of Bishkek and Osh. The corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Muhammadkaly Abylgaziev.

Based on the results of the pilot project, a decision will be made on the expediency and timing of the phased implementation of the electronic patent issuance mechanism throughout the entire country. Learn more

The Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic has drafted a Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the introduction of a temporary ban (moratorium) on inspections conducted by law enforcement, tax and other authorized bodies that have the right to conduct inspections of business entities." According to the Economy Ministry, the moratorium aims to support the economic activity of business entities, ensure their legal protection, eliminate unreasonable and excessive interference of state supervisory bodies in the activities of business entities, as well as in measures to create a favorable investment environment.
