On May 31, the meeting of the IBC Tourism Committee was held in the conference hall of the USAID Business Development Initiative (BGI) Project.

Azamat Jamankulov, Director of the Department of Tourism – Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as IBC members and partners took part in the meeting.

The results of the work of the BGI Project were summed up. The meeting participants stressed the effectiveness of the multi-vector work of the project to promote Kyrgyzstan at the world platforms of the tourism market, as well as to create favorable conditions within the country, to enhance the ability of tourism service providers to work in accordance with international standards.

Committee members and experts also considered ways of creating and promoting tourism products, as well as issues of the summer tourism season.

Committee Chair Raissa Ermakova presented letters of appreciation to IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov, Deputy Executive Director Daniyar Mederov and Lawyer Dastan Imanaliev. IBC, in turn, presented a letter of thanks to the USAID Business Development Initiative (BGI) Project for the cooperation in the tourism development.
