British Council presents a survey on the social entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan

On March 29, IBC representatives took part in a forum to discuss the development prospects for social entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan.

The event was organized by the British Council in association with the Association of Social Entrepreneurs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The forum has become a platform for dialogue between representatives of the Parliament, Government, civil society organizations, journalistic community, experts and local entrepreneurs.

The British Council presented the results of a survey on the social entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan and its contribution to the economy of the country. The survey was conducted by the International NGO Training and Research Centre (INTRAC) and Social Enterprise UK.

The study will help raise awareness about the problems and prospects of social entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan among decision-makers, and analyze the impact and develop recommendations for its further development, the organizers of the forum said.
