Secretariat of the Business Development and Investment Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting to discuss problems faced by insurance companies including housing and passenger transportation insurance.

The participants considered the possibility of introducing amendments to Kyrgyzstan’s legal framework in the field of insurance. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Economy Ministry, State Service for Financial Market Regulation and Supervision, State Insurance Organization OJSC, IBC, and insurance market of the country.

The meeting participants suggested including a copy of the insurance contract in the list of documents required when obtaining a license to carry out activities related to the transportation of passengers. They also considered the possibility of creating equal conditions for insurance companies in mandatory housing insurance. The participants decided to include both issues in the agenda of the next Council’s meeting.
