On the IBC initiative, the Secretariat of the Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council under the Parliament Speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting chaired by Council’s Deputy Chairman, PM Abdyvakhap Nurbayev.

Member companies of the Association of Telecom Operators of Kyrgyzstan also took part in the meeting to discuss the access to land for the installation of small communication facilities. Difficulties experienced by cellular operators are related with long procedures for land transformation, changing the purpose of the land use and obtaining permits for the construction of temporary facilities.

The meeting participants decided, in the framework of the Council’s Secretariat in conjunction with the IBC and the Association of Telecom Operators, to initiate drafting of a law aimed at resolving the issues discussed.
