On April 14, 2008, the Kyrgyz Republic adopted Law No. 58 “On Personal Information” (hereinafter the “Law 2008”), aimed to strengthen the state policy in the field of personal data management, as well as to protect the rights and freedoms of people whose personal data are being collected, processed and used.
